The Pirate Gunboat is the Pirate variant of the 
Gunboat, as the name suggests. Like all Pirate ship variants, it features 25% higher attack speed and 20% increased movement speed.
Unlike other pirate variant ships, Pirate gunboats are visually significantly larger than their non-pirate counterparts.
How to obtain[]
The Pirate Gunboat will be one of the random ships which can appear for purchase from the bases of the Pirate AI characters after reaching a trade agreement with them.
Alternatively, the player can construct the Pirate Gunboat after obtaining the legendary ship specialist item Gideon Small, Guru of Pirate Gunboats and placing it into a Harbourmaster's Office within range of their shipyard. This item can be rarely obtained from Rescue Expeditions, or from completing quests for Carl Leonard von Malching, or as flotsam from destroying ships belonging to Carl Leonard von Malching.
