Furnace is a production building that turns 
Iron and 
Coal into 
Steel, an intermediate product in production of many crucial goods. It can be built in the Old World (and Cape Trelawney). With 
New World Rising DLC it can also be built in the New World.
Productivity[]
It takes 30 seconds to produce 1 ton of steel from 1 ton of iron and 1 ton of coal so the production rate is 2 tons of steel per minute. Productivity can be changed by adjusting working conditions, using items and electricity.
