Fire Station is the first emergency institution in Anno 1800. It fights fires in its influence range while also lowering the chance of fires and explosions within a very small area around it. It can be built in both the Old World and the New World.

In Anno 1800 fires can occur not only in residential areas but also in production districts. Therefore it is recommended that every building in your cities is in the influence range of at least one fire station.

Like every public building the fire station has a limited range which is based on the street distance between the affected building and the fire station. Its full range (dark green) is 22 tiles for dirt roads and 32 for paved streets. Its max range (light green) is 46 tiles for dirt roads and 68 for paved streets. Fire stations are effective even for buildings which are in the light green zone but it will take longer for firefighters to get there.

After constructing a fire station it takes one minute to train firefighters, only after this time the fire station will be able to send out units to fight fires. Every time a fire station is built or relocated, one minute has to pass before the fire station is operational.

Mobilisation

Like in case of other emergency institutions you can mobilise additional units if happiness and amount of your population is high enough (on the island, not globally):

  • 1 unit if happiness value is +10 or higher, and population is at least 100
  • 2 units if happiness value is +30 or higher, and population is at least 200
  • 3 units if happiness value is +50 or higher, and population is at least 300

Mobilisation has a two minute cooldown.
