City Hospital is an Emergency Service building, which is an upgraded version of the Hospital Hospital. It is available with New World Rising DLC icon New World Rising DLC, can be built in the Old World (and Cape Trelawney) and the New World. It serves the same purpose as a hospital, fighting illness in its influence range, while also lowering the chance of illness within a small area around it.

City hospital has a higher street range than the hospital, and its effect of reducing incident chances is stronger. When provided with Medicine Medicine, which is consumed at the rate of 1 ton per 6 minutes, the city hospital automatically mobilises all available units whenever an emergency occurs.

City hospital has a limited range which is based on the street distance between the affected building and the city hospital. Its range is 74 tiles for dirt roads and 111 for paved streets.

After constructing a city hospital it takes exactly one minute to train doctors, only after this time the city hospital will be able to send out units to fight illness. Every time a city hospital is built, relocated, or downgraded, one minute has to pass before the building is operational.
