Connects your Tourists to their Destinations
Bus Stop is an Infrastructure building which connects Hotels and Tourists to various buildings they need like Food & Drink Venues. It requires Tourist Season DLC and it is unlocked upon upgrading a Public Mooring for the first time, which is possible after reaching 500 Engineers. Bus stops can be built only in the Old World (and Cape Trelawney).
Bus stop functionality[]
For additional information, see: Bus Network.
Bus stops are required to satisfy many of the tourists' needs. Both the hotels and the buildings which fulfill tourists' needs have to be placed within the 14 tile radius of the bus stops, the direct road connection is not necessary. Bus stops have to be connected together and at least one bus stop needs to have the Tourist Mooring within its radius in order to form a bus network. To connect a bus stop to the network, its street range has to overlap with the street range of another bus stop which already belongs to the network. Bus stop's street range is 36 tiles for dirt roads and 54 tiles for paved streets.
The menu of the bus stop provides an overview on the strength of its connections to all the buildings relevant for the tourists. The fulfilment of the bars for each building determines the fulfilment level of the building-based tourists' need for any hotels placed within the radius of the selected bus stop. The bus stop menu includes an option to change the skin of the buses travelling on the island's streets. It is possible to select a specific skin or leave the skin randomised. Each bus stop has a default name assigned to it, it can also be changed from the bus stop's menu. The names of bus stops have no impact on gameplay, they can be used for example to mark certain bus stops or as one of the means of personalising the city.
