The regions within the game world in [[Sandbox mode|sandbox]] and [[campaign]] modes are [[Game World#World generation|generated based on several settings]] selected upon starting a new game. One of those settings is a number known as the seed. Using the same seed number while keeping all of the other important settings the same allows to create exactly the same game world. This allows players to share their favourite game worlds with each other by sharing the seed number along with specifying all relevant settings.

Maps in Anno 1800 are randomly generated based on [[Sandbox mode|difficulty settings]] and a special map number called the map's seed. All islands are hand-made, the world generator chooses particular number of islands, decides whether rivers appear and which [[fertilities and resources]] are present on islands and then arranges them into the map world based on the map type.

Description

Old World is good, Manola doesn't have oil but has clay and every mining resource, even 6 iron mines. Cape Trelawney and Crown Falls are awesome - there is 8 oil, 9 iron and coal, 3 zinc and copper, 2 limestone, potato, grain, hops and grapes fertilities. The Anno Union Island is both in Old World and Cape as well, so there are 2 anno union islands.

Map is good, Manola is very good with oil, has everything, clay and all types of mined resources but Crown Falls oil is low number, only 5 deposits.
