Beach is a Harbour and a Public Service building, which fulfills the basic need for residences of one population tier in the New World:
Artistas; and the lifestyle need for residences of the other two population tiers in the New World:
Jornaleros and
Obreros. It requires
New World Rising DLC and a free coastline.
Need fulfilment[]
Like every public building the beach can affect only those buildings which are connected to it by roads and are placed within its range. The strength of its effects is based on the street distance between the affected building and the beach. Its full range (dark green) is 28 tiles for
dirt roads and 41 for
paved streets. Its max range (light green) is 56 tiles for dirt roads and 83 for paved streets. The range of the beach can be significantly increased by building beach ornaments. The exact placement of the ornaments does not matter as long as they are located within the same island.
When
Jornalero Residences,
Hacienda Jornalero Quarters,
Obrero Residences or
Hacienda Obrera Quarters are in the full range of the beach, each of them gains 2 inhabitants.
When
Artista Residences are in the full range of the beach, each of them gains 2 inhabitants and generates more income depending on game settings:
- high income: +20 coins per minute per residence
- medium income: +18 coins per minute per residence
- low income: +16 coins per minute per residence
When
Hacienda Artista Quarters are in the full range of the beach, each of them gains 2 inhabitants and generates more income depending on game settings:
- high income: +45 coins per minute per residence
- medium income: +40.5 coins per minute per residence
- low income: +36 coins per minute per residence
When residences are outside of the full range but inside the max range they gain less inhabitants and generate less income based on the street distance from the beach.
