Airship Platform is a modular Infrastructure building which functions as a pier for airships and as a trading post, providing connection to the harbour for other buildings and providing loading ramps where goods can be loaded and unloaded by carts. It is the only building where airships on airship routes can load and unload mail. It includes up to three modules which allow to share workforce between islands, transfer items between islands or to establish airship routes transporting mail. Airship platform requires the 
Empire of the Skies DLC, it can be built in the Old World (and Cape Trelawney), the New World, and The Arctic (with 
The Passage DLC). Only one airship platform can be built per island and also only one of each module type can be built per island.
Airship platform as a trading post[]
Airship platforms have several properties of a 
Trading Post. While they cannot actually be constructed as the first building of the island, they provide connection to harbour for other buildings. A building which requires to be connected to the harbour can be connected by roads to an airship platform, instead of the trading post, and it satisfies its connection requirement and ensures its proper functionality. Additionally, buildings' carts can unload and load goods at the airship platform. It has 2 loading ramps, but unlike warehouses or trading posts, the state of the loading ramps is not displayed at the platform's menu. The platform is also a docking place for airships, but not for typical ships, and it has base loading speed of 2 tons per second, which is applicable to airships on regular trade routes. The effective loading speed for airships transporting mail on airship routes is much higher.
Modules[]
Depending on the region, the airship platform has up to 3 modules that can be built adjacent to it: Item Transfer Depot, Airmail Sorting Office and Commuter Station; all have the same size: 3x5. Each module type can be built only once per island.
Item Transfer Depot[]
Item Transfer Depot is available at airship platforms in Old World (and Cape Trelawney) and New World. It allows to transfer items to and from a special shared item storage. It can be used to very quickly transport items between islands with the item transfer depot without using ships. When an item is put into the shared storage, there is a cooldown which has to pass before the item can be removed from the shared storage. The duration of the cooldown depends on the item's rarity.

Airmail Sorting Office[]
Airmail Sorting Office is available at airship platforms in Old World (and Cape Trelawney), New World and The Arctic. It is required to establish airship routes between islands to transport mail between them. It also increases the island's storage capacity for mail by 10 tons.
In The Arctic the Airmail Sorting Office can also be built as a separate standalone building, not requiring the connection to the airship platform.

Commuter Station[]
Commuter Station is available at airship platforms only in New World. It functions similarly to the
