Can someone please tell me what I'm missing? I have over 1600 artisans, museums, zoos, schools, universities, all the food, wants and luxury items in plenty, a whole lot of money and adored by my people. What more do I need to do to unlock engineers? In my New World things are going just as well and I have unlocked oil refineries but, with no engineers, I can't make the concrete for the refineries. Thanks for any help or advice.
What's on your mind?
At the start in Crown Falls I put in all the builings used for all Tiers. Then I deleted all the buildings and moved them towards an otter Island. (Includes trees, timbre and all mines and oilwells) I played like 2 hours and stil a didn’t get the achievement Crown Falls. And yes I got a metropol. Also saved the game quit and containued
Anyone got Ideas??
I cannot figure out how to destroy enemy airships and conquer their islands which have no harbours in the Arctic (they are just settlements built on ice basically).
Those are the last remaining part of my enemy to complete the game and it is so frustrating!
Could anyone help?
I play Anno 1800 for a while and ofcourse, I got an influence problem.
I noticed It by get more influence after destroying buildings of other players/CPU. But when I reload the game, I lose the influence gained.
I do like the Idea of getting influence points from destroying other players, but it would be nice if the influence would stick or the higher need of popolution growth would be lowered down or investors would give more influence by the residents they carried (Like 20 investors give you +2 and 40 +3. but losing influence after not building anything Kinda destroys the game if you want to reload it.
Does anyone else experience this issue? Cause if I use influence after the pirates destruction, it will destroy my save game and I dont want to run Anno 1800 24/7.
I've started a character Section for Anno 1800 on TVTropes.
If you want to add something, feel free to!
How to get alliance with dr Hugo mercy?
Good afternoon. Tell me how to
1) Craft and achieving "The Great Eastern"?
What includes these sets, how many of them, where can I see the list?
1) DLC: An Ocean of Knowledge
2) DLC: Encyclopedia Botanica
Could you please someone help me with calculator of product chains:
I save it to my computer and fulfulled data in excel and it looks like doesn't work - no calculation appear.
Do you have please any comment or suggestion what's wrong?
Does the positioning matter or only the total amount of it in the whole islands that counted. What is the effect if I put pig farm beside a residential area?
In Sandbox mode, without pirates or other players, how can I gain Influence, besides population? Is it possible, or have I reached the limit?
I have -1 Influence and can't build or settle another island.
My game does not run in 21:9 on my AW3418DW. I have black borders on both side. How do change the aspect ratio to 21:9?

Is there a consensus about how to incorporate pages on tools in the Wiki?
I saw the Anno Designer has a page and based on that I just created a page for the spreadsheet needs calculator I made: anno1800.fandom.com/wiki/Anno_1800_Needs_Calculator
I think it is worth adding it to core wiki pages such as the Needs page because it is a bit of an orphan now but it might be good to agree on some ground rules first. Are there any objections to adding such to the Needs page?
I also think other Anno calculators are worth adding. Like Nihoel's one at nihoel.github.io/Anno1800Calculator
Also, I know there is a page and instructions for guides. Do we perhaps want to have something similar for tools?
If you add an item that increases residence density, does it affect consumption? I know consumption is determined by household and not by individual residents, but it feels like something sneaky that the devs would implement.
Is there any reason to keep the Old World/New World versions of the same building split, rather than having the two versions listed on the same page? Most seem to have near-identical effects with just workforce and building materials being different, and the split pages result in having to specify one or the other where both may be applicable.
I just started playing 1800. I have played 1404 and 1700. It seems in 1800 that the amount of resources required is determined by the number of dwellings, not inhabitants. If that is so - where in the game screen can you find the number of dwellings for each class of inhabitant.
First time I use this wiki and I uploaded the fandom app for my phone. I need your help because I'm not able to find the anno page in the search engine of the app. I tried to follow the page on my account with my laptop but it doesn't show the page or the follow in the app...
I'm from France and it seems that the search engine prioritize french content... Did you encountered this situation in the past ? Any solution / tips ?
First off, just wanted to say hi to everyone here. I'm really looking forward to being able to help contribute to this wiki.
I just wanted to let people know that I've been updating the item list pages (ship, trade union, town hall, and harbourmaster's office) and redoing the layout a bit. They were very empty and there was no consistent format between them. I think they look better now but let me know if something should change.
I've just been adding items as I come across them in my games. If I had known I was going to be contributing to here, i would have saved some of my other save games as they had some interesting character items on them. But oh well.
Already 10 days passed since the release! A lot data is still missing, many articles need to be improved. But we also made some progress! For example we've got full list of animals and exhibits items. We also have many new production and city layouts! I'm sure that together we can make this wiki the best Anno wiki! Keep in mind that the game has just been released and everything needs time.
Today I created a new page about creating your own guides! I believe it's a great method for sharing your experience and knowledge with other players. If you have enough experience, maybe from previous Anno games or you feel like you're already a decent player at Anno 1800, I encourage you to try writing your own guide. It can be either general, for example about how to expand and build in the beginning of the game, or rather focused on one part of the game, like hard expeditions. Every guide will be appreciated and I'm sure there are many players out there who would make good use of them.
MY ROLE HERE
I know I didn't do much recently. As an admin my main objective is to help other users, organise the wiki and make sure we're on the right track. Since the release many new users have appeared and suddenly I've had more stuff to keep an eye on. Because of that and a few other real-life events I haven't had much time to contribute myself. But that will soon change! Tomorrow I'm leaving for a few days so I might be out of reach until 1 May. However, I will try to take a look at the wiki in the evenings. When I'm back I will get to work again!
I finished categorizing all articles on our Anno 1800 Wiki. The main category is Category:Browse. This category page leads to all main pages and categories which then lead to other categories and pages. That creates a category tree, which can be used to reach all pages on the Wiki using the categories system.
Current system might still be changed when more pages are created which don't fall into any existing category or make the current system invalid.
If you have any suggestions or feedback regarding categories please let me know in this thread.
